Passwords are critical information security components. It is one of the most common methods used to protect information and information systems. Passwords are effective when used correctly, but there are some bad habits that weaken the password such as noting it down on papers, using personal information like name or date of birth, and using the same password on more than one computer.

How to create a strong password:

  • All you need to do is to use your imagination when you choose your password.
  • Make it complex by writing it without spaces and blending numbers and symbols.

Characters of a strong password:

  • Length: Not less than 6 characters
  • Complexity: Randomization of characters.

Do you know?

The one who knows your password will simply be you in front of your computer.

DO:

  • Use 6 characters or more.
  • Mix letters, numbers and non-alphabetic character.
  • Change password periodically.

DON'T:

  • Don’t use personal details.
  • Do not give your password to anyone.
  • Don’t let others see you typing your password.
